Following a five month inquiry into ethnic minority female unemployment, the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Race and Community has completed a final report on the issue.
Focusing on Black, Pakistani and Bangladeshi women, the report found that discrimination is present at every stage of the recruitment process, particularly at application and interview stages.
In addition the report calls for more monitoring of how unemployment and redundancy is impacting on ethnic minority women.
This report was written by Runnymede’s Public Affairs Manager Vicki Butler on behalf of the APPG. Runnymede acts as secretariat for the group, which is chaired by David Lammy MP.
